Luke 2:16 - Additional Comments
The shepherds left immediately to go see Jesus, leaving their flocks to themselves. They were confident that in doing God's will, God would take care of the circumstances. Of course, you don't want to be irresponsible, but once you've done what you can, you can be confident will take care of things for you as you obey Him.
How difficult was it for the shepherds to find them? It didn't matter - they were determined to find them. We need to be as determined to meet with Jesus.
The shepherds found Jesus and His family in a manger (or possibly stable). By the time the wise men came, they were in a house (Matt 2:11). (Also see notes on verse 7).
