Luke 24:1

There came probably about 6 or more women, from what verse 10 implies.
This was Mary Magdalene's first visit to the tomb, and first of 2 visits with the angels.
The sequence of events:
- Mary Magdalene, with Joanna and Mary (the mother of James), and other women went early to visit the tomb (vss 1-10, John 20:1).
- They were visited by 2 angels (vss 4-7, not mentioned in John).
- The went an told the apostles and disciples (vs 9, John 20:2)
- Peter and John ran to the tomb (vs 12, John 20:3-10).
- Mary Magdalene returned to the tomb (not mentioned here, but in John 20:11).
- Mary met with the 2 angels, again, and Jesus (not mentioned here, but in John 20:12-17).
- Mary went and told the disciples are her second experience with the angels, and now with Jesus (John 20:18)
- Jesus appeared to Peter (Luke 24:34), and had told others, for the 2 on the road to Emmaus already knew this
- The 2 on the road to Emmaus traveled with Jesus (vss 13-33)
- The 2 on the road to Emmaus went and told the disciples the met with Jesus (vs 35)
- Jesus visited the disciples at their home (vs 36, John 20:19)
