Luke 7:45 - Additional Comments
We are not only to love God, but to show our love for Him. Jesus knew Simon's heart, but He was also implying that what we see on the outside reflects what's going on inside. That's why James said faith without works is dead (James 2:17), and "Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works" (James 2:18).
What is the evidence of your affection for God? Maybe I should say, take a look at your life, and see how it reveals your feelings for God.
Spend time with God, and your affections for Him cannot but help to grow.
