This had to be late at night now. This followed the Passover meal, which had to take place after sunset. Plus, it followed the trip to the Mount of Olives, Jesus multiple prayers, and the apostles falling asleep. All these Jewish leaders were so passionate about Jesus' arrest that they assembled late at night to condemn Him to death (vs 55).
