Mark 2:28 - Additional Comments

In verse 10 Jesus had made it clear that He was the Son of Man (see notes on that verse). There, here is declaring that He Himself is Lord of the Sabbath. The Pharisees we interpreting the king's rules on the Sabbath, and Jesus was king of the Sabbath. They (verse 24) were arguing with the king over what the king's laws were, and they did not know He was the king.
