For all the traveling Jesus did on foot, He certainly did not need the donkey for comfort, but merely for presentation. It was only a few streets on which Jesus traveled on the colt.
Most everyone was moved, but with vastly different emotions and thoughts, some at the novelty, some at the humility, some for joy (if they realized who He was), some with envy or indignation (jealousy).
