Matthew 21:7

And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.

They brought the donkey and the colt and laid their coats upon them, and He seated Himself on them [the clothing].

Jesus always traveled by foot, but just this one time He allowed Himself to travel in style. His purpose was to enter into Jerusalem in triumph.
