Matthew 6:22 - Additional Comments

These 2 verses (22-23) fit with 19-21 and 24-34, both passages comparing the treasures of heaven vs. the treasures of the world. A good eye treasures the things of heaven, resulting in light. A bad eye treasures the things of the earth, resulting in darkness, and how great is that darkness. Certainly one cannot see or understand the things of God entrenched in the darkness. Yet one who has a good eye has the light, and sees clearly the things of God.
