Matthew 7:16 - Additional Comments

How do you know the false teachers? Check out their lives, check out their fruit. False teachers can only produce bad fruit. The true test is not their words but their fruit! For they may call Jesus Lord, but not have a relationship with God (vss 21-23).
But we must be careful as we examine the fruit, to view it from God's perspective. Wealth and prosperity is not "good fruit" - it is only the rich faith of God in people's lives, seeking to glorify Him.
What is the fate of these false teachers? The fires of hell - verse 19.
