Nehemiah 2:5

And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.

Nehemiah had a very high position, one of power and luxury. Yet, he was quick to give it up for the sake of his people the Jews. I wonder if Nehemiah had felt bad that he lived in luxury all those years when Judah was in trouble.
Wow. Nehemiah is stepping way outside of his comfort zone. He is taking on a project that requires skills he has never exercised - huge project management, leadership over throngs of people, etc. What's outside of your comfort zone? If God called you into service there, would you fight it (like Jonah - Jonah 1:2-3) or accept it?
