Proverbs 27:17 - Additional Comments

Ah, there's nothing like the building up of each other. We need each other. We become rich because of each other. It is critical. See Eccl 4:9-10.
We become like those we allow to sharpen us. They may draw us to bad or good. We need to be careful that those who are sharpening us, i.e. shaping us further, are the ones who we want sharpening us. Examine what our closest friends life principles and worldview are - that should give you a clue. See 1 Cor 15:33, 2 Cor 6:14.
But at the same time, we need to ask - how are we sharpening others, and in what ways are we influencing them? Are we lifting them up to a bigger and better life with God?
