Joy comes from obeying God's laws, and seeking Him with our whole heart.
What does it mean to seek Him with your whole heart?
(2 Chr 16:9) "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars."
(Prov 4:23) Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
(Jer 17:9) "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
(Jer 24:7) 'Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.
(Mat 15:8) 'These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.
(Luke 10:27) So he answered and said, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.'"
(Eph 3:17) that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Christ in our heart is the foundation of loving God with our whole heart.
