This psalm, being the last, may be a summary of the design of all the psalms -- to assist us in praising God. We are called to praise God 13 times in these 6 verses. With singing this psalm we should get our hearts much affected by the perfections of God, and with the praises of which will always be His.
We are naturally cold to praising God, and must be brought to and held to it. This is a duty which we must be highly employed in.
These last 6 psalms contain only priase -- no complaints or petitions. What a fitting way to complete the book of Psalms.
The sanctuary is where He shows His glory and His grace. It is a privelege to have the sanctuary, and to attend there.
A sanctuary a consecrated place, a place set apart, a place of refuge. A refuge is a shelter from danger or distress, a place of protection.
The firmament, the heavens, is vast, powerful, bright, splendid, awe-inspiring. It has powerful influences on the earth.
These are the places where God resides. This is where God is praised continually, in ways far better than we can praise Him. It is a comfort to know there is other praise much higher than ours, and yet God values ours in much the same way.
Praise for Him will be regular (daily) (1 Chr 23:30, Ps 145:2) and forever (Ps 44:8, 45:17, 145:2).
