Psalm 9:15 - Additional Comments
This is a result of sin, of neglecting or ignoring God. You have dug your own pit, and then you have to sit in it. You have sewn your own net, and then you are trapped in it.
Pray, pray, pray, the prayer of Psalm 139:23-24 - God already knows our heart, and we ask that He reveal it to us (and the painful results of sin), that we may turn from it, and not fall into a pit or net that we have made ourselves. It is the work of our own hands (vs 16). Each person builds his own castles or digs his own pits. What are you building? Want to build a castle? Start with verse 1, to go after God with your whole heart, like you would a trophy during a sporting event. Run in such a way that you may win (1 Cor 9:24).
Without God, the wicked's ultimate destiny is hell (vs 17). Who is it describing? Those who "forget God". May I, like Brother Lawrence, practice His presence at all times.
