Romans 2:10 - Additional Comments
It's a terrible thing to experience wrath from God (vss 8-9), but what an amazing thing to experience the glory, honor, and peace that God bestows!
Who receives the wrath? "those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness."
Who receives glory, honor, and peace? "everyone who works what is good."
Now we know that it is by faith we are saved, and that not of works.(Eph 2:8-9). Yet it is by works that we show our faith (James 2:17-18).
James 2:17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2:18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
Bottom line is even as Christians God has a requirement for how we live. We receive the consequences (vs 6), either of pain or benefit.
