Romans 2:3 - The Message

You didn’t think, did you, that just by pointing your finger at others you would distract God from seeing all your misdoings and from coming down on you hard? Or did you think that because he’s such a nice God, he’d let you off the hook? Better think this one through from the beginning. God is kind, but he’s not soft. In kindness he takes us firmly by the hand and leads us into a radical life-change.

Romans 2:3 - Young's Living Translation

And dost thou think this, O man, who art judging those who such things are practising, and art doing them, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Should we preach on the wrath of God? Joel Osteen is the "cotton candy" preaching, because he only preaches on positive things, but that does not line up with Scripture.
If you were on a plane, and you found out the plane's engines were about to fail, would you want the stewardess to pass out drinks and good will or parachutes and extreme concern? The truth is the plane is going down, and there is no escape without Christ.
If people don't know they are sinners destined for hell, they won't look to God for a cure.
