But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

The ways of God are not the ways of man. What we want is not necessarily the best. Peter could not accept what Jesus was saying will happen. It is interesting that Peter confronted and rebuked the same person who, shortly before, he had acknowledged is the Christ!
We may not understand the things of God, but we need to trust that they are accurate, perfect, and for the best.
