2 Corinthians 11:20 - Additional Comments

Verse 19 - they gladly put up with fools, even though we they place them into bondage, they devour them, they strike them. We are told to be meek, but we wind up being weak instead. Meekness is strength under control, not weakness. Meekness still fights for what is right. We are told:
Matthew 5:39 "But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also."
That implies when you are stuck in a situation, what is the proper attitude. But we also see here the implication that if you are in a stituation where fools abuse you, you should get away from them and their influence. Martyrs over they years have suffered at the hands of fools, primarily because they had no choice. If you are being abused, and have a choice, do not put up with the abuse.
