1 Corinthians 8:9 - Additional Comments

What is this liberty? That we are allowed to eat meat sold in the market that was originally part of a pagan altar sacrifice.
Yet, some who are weaker, less mature, cannot accept this. They may have been involved in this pagan worship before, and now in Christ, cannot accept anything related to the old idolatry. Regardless of why, if you eat that meat, the weaker Christian will struggle both in their attitude and their faith - you would be a stumbling block to them. It could weaken their faith because they see you saying hey, worship of those pagan idols is not so bad (at least in their mind).
