1 John 3:6 - Additional Comments

Those who abide in Christ no longer continue in the practice of sin (see verse 10).
Those who expect to live with Christ, to abide with Him, in heaven, should study to abide with Him in the same way on earth, in the utmost of purity. They should watch to avoid that which is contrary to their covenent with Him. When we become Christians, we turn from sin.
Those who have not given themselves to God don't understand Christ, for they have not seen Him, nor do they know who He is. We should not be surprised when they don't understand.
Those who abide in the practice of sin have not seen Him, do not know Him.
