We love Jesus Christ, we believe in Him - despite the fact that we've never seen Him. That ... is faith. See Heb 11:1,6, John 20:29.
And even though we haven't seen Him, we are full of joy that cannot be explained, that is overflowing with glory to Him. (See Phil. 4:6-7 which tells of peace which cannot be explained.) And this joy can be in the midst of trials, even grievous ones (vs 6).
