1 Peter 1:7 - Additional Comments

Although these trials grieve us, these trials are what proves our faith. Our faith does not prevent trials, it just carries us through them. Trials force us, through faith, to depend on God, which in turn builds our faith even more. This faith, becoming evident, is much more valuable than the world's riches. How can we praise, honor, and glorify Jesus Christ? Our faith, which is evident by the testing - we will also give that to Christ when He comes again.
What an amazing thing, that our life, our genuine faith, will result in praising Jesus, honoring Him, glorifying Him! Do you realize that your faith alone, if genuine, does that for Christ? Along with pleasing God (Heb 11:6), our faith actually glorifies Him! How can you please, honor, glorify God? Build your faith! How can you build your faith? Through the tests and trials you endure with patience (James 1:2-4).
See Rom 8:18 - no suffering compares to the glory to be revealed.
