1 Samuel 17:37 - Additional Comments

Saul himself may not have been able to trust in God, but he could see that David could and did, and that God was with him. Saul believed in God and knew God power in people's lives, but he chose not to follow God.
David demonstrates that we can face difficult situations with a reliance on God for strength and effect beyond our own capabilities - a miracle.
How could David have had the confidence that God would intervene and support him in this situation? He relied on God's promises.
Which promises can we rely on in the face of trials or danger?
(Note that trials can come even when we are faithful.)
(Note that trials are not times when God abandons you, but when He is providing extra support.)
