2 Corinthians 5:15 - Additional Comments

We must die to self.
Matthew 16:24-25 We must take up our cross. If we lose our life for Christ (the old self), we will find it (the new self) (see vs 17).
We have been buried with Him in baptism (Col 2:12, Rom 6:4). They do not bury people unless they are dead. The old man has died, a new man is now present (again, vs 17).
If we have died with Christ, we shall also live with Him (2 Tim 2:11).
He who has died is freed from sin (see notes on Romans 6:7).
See Romans 6:4-13.
We are free from sin. We need to stand firm, and not be subject to the bondage of sin (Gal 5:1).
