What is it that compels us to share the gospel? The love of Christ. This is what should drive us in all we do for Christ.
We need to examine our motive in everything we do, and make sure that our obedience is not to please men, but God. "If I were still trying please men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ" - Gal 1:10.
Matt 6:24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
What motivates you, compels you, the most? Is it money? As you work hard to support a family, can you keep a passion for Christ above the focus on money?
Christ died for us. To place the love of Christ above the love of money, you truly must die to self, to your own wants. Verse 15 - we are no longer to live for ourselves, but for Christ.
