2 Kings 22:7 - Additional Comments

Wow! This really struck me. Not only were these people honest, but they managed the money well enough to be trusted to manage it by themselves, without accountability. How would you fair? The authors of the U.S. Constitution knew men's hearts, that power and money corrupts, so they created the 3 branches to keep the others accountable. Yet, sometimes there are people that can do the right thing without another holding them accountable. How common or rare is this? Be that person who is honest, noble, trustworthy, regardless of the temptation!
God has trusted you with resources. Do you honor Him both in what you spend it on, whether you tithe, and how you manage it? How well do you take care of the things you own? See Eph 4:28.
