2 Kings 22:9 - Additional Comments

This money that was found was given to those who work in the temple. Note that the money was found. I bet it was a lot of money. If one of the workers was the first to find it, do you think he had second thoughts about turning it in? What would you do if you found a large amount of money that could not be traced back to you? Would you keep it, even if you knew it was wrong? On 2 separate occasions I had things delivered to my house incorrectly - one was a computer, one was a TV. I had the legal right to keep both. What would you have done? (I returned both to the postal workers.)
Is there a price that would corrupt you, or a circumstance? The good thing is God promises we are never put in a temptation that does not have a way out, that is not more than we can handle. Although, we are to pray that God would keep temptation from coming to us, as even though there are ways out, we are weak.
But, we need to determine ahead of time that we will not compromise, in any way - money, sex, fame, etc. Never give up, always do what is right - make your decision far ahead of time.
