2 Kings 23:26 - Additional Comments

King Josiah did great things for God, yet it was not enough to turn the tide of events because of the accumulation of affects of evil from those before him. The effects of sin, especially over time, can be far reaching. If there is any sin in your life, you better get it dealt with, or there may be long term effects that will be very difficult to remove. Yet, if you are at the point of trying to recover from long term sin, it may be possible for a full recovery, as Paul did before he began his ministry. But it still took him years to get to that point. It may be difficult, but you have a decision to make -- life like Manasseh, or like Josiah? Life like Saul (early Paul), or like Paul during his ministry? See Joshua 1:8.
