What about sins you think you've gotten away with? The thing you have done has displeased the Lord of the universe. Have you repented? Do you have to get caught before you will repent?
Which sin is greater, the adultery, the lying, the murder? Or what you said yesterday to your wife or child or neighbor or stranger (or the thought you had, but didn't say)? Or your pride, or anger, or laziness to God, or ingratitude, or envy, or worry? While all sins don't have the same consequences, all sins are deserving of death (Rom 6:23). We need to see all sin as God sees it.
