2 Samuel 11:6 - Additional Comments
David attempts to cover up the sin. Sin easily leads to more sin, many times to avoid the consequences of the first sin! If you stop sinning, you may be discovered. David's adultery leads to murder and lying. Stop now - you will pay the consequences, and the consequences of more sin may be greater than the consequences of stopping now. Either way, even if people don't find out, God knew.
Heb 4:13 "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account."
God knows. He hated David's sin (vs 27), and He hates your sin (Prov 6:16, Deut 12:31, Prov 8:13, 30:21). The consequence of sin if disharmony with God - get straight with God now! Bring the richness of His blessings back into your life!
Plus, there will be affects of the sin, even if it doesn't appear like it.
