2 Samuel 11:5 - Additional Comments

Whether she became pregnant or not, the sin was still the same sin. The pregnancy just made it extremely obvious. If she had not become pregnant, would he have gotten away with the sin? No, of course not. See Psalm 139. God is ever present with us. People may not find out, but the One who cares the most watched it all happen.
You may only repent if it is discovered. What sin is in your life now that you think you have gotten away with? What if I could like Nathan receive a word from God and expose it right now? Is there any area of your life you would not like exposed?
And then, if I learn of your sin, would you like for me to come to you, or not mention it? Would you be too embarrassed? "He who hates correction is stupid." (Prov 12:1)
