Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

His soul is prospering, meaning becoming stronger and richer in the things that last.
At the same time, his wish is for his health and worldly position to prosper, in conjunction with his soul prospering. He may be wishing that his worldly position improves in direct relation to his soul improving. How can one enjoy life without the spiritual treasures increasing?
