Acts 24:23 - Additional Comments

Which centurion was this? Two centurions had helped Paul escape Jerusalem (23:23). The soldiers had returned to Jerusalem (23:31-32). This may have been one of the two centurions who travelled with the horsemen, or a different one that reported to Felix.
Felix did not have animosity towards Paul, in fact, he was fascinated by him and what he had to say (vss 24-26).
This talks of the other Christians as Paul's friends. He not only was their teacher, but they were companions.
Amazing - how often did Romans allow citizens to have free access, including with gifts, to a prisoner?
