"Wormwood" is something bitter or grievous. The Israelis, instead of fairness, would cause bitterness. They ignore the things that are righteous, they even bury them - they get them out of sight.
Which things do you tend to keep present in your life, the things of God or the things of the world? Which do you enjoy, are you drawn to? Do you seek fairness, help for others, calmness instead of anger, peace instead of bitterness? Do you forgive? Do you speak with softness and understanding to your family? Or, do you allow the things of the world to have reign, and bury what is righteous?
