Amos 8:2 - Additional Comments

The summer fruit represents fruit that will not last long, either by spoilage or by being eaten. This was the state of Israel.
God said He would no longer ignore their sins as a nation. God has long spared them, but no longer. It was time for judgment. See also Amos 7:8.
