This applies to wives (vs 18), husbands (vs 19), children (vs 20), fathers (vs 21), and servants (vs 22). It can apply to so much more, especially at your church and at your workplace.
And why are we do work heartily? Verse 24 - we are really serving Christ, and ultimately our reward is from Him.
