Colossians 3:8

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

In addition to the list in verse 5, here are most things to avoid.
- anger - includes vengeance, wrath - usually results in un controlled outward actions, and negatively affects all those around
- wrath - fierce passion, as in breathing hard, because something bothers you
- malice - depravity, evil intent - purposely planning things that will harm others
- blasphemy - slanderous, angry words, esp. against God
- filthy language - saying things inappropriate to be said in public, or private
