Deuteronomy 6:3

Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

Deuteronomy 6:3 - Additional Comments

Another (in addition to verse 2) result from obedience -- earthly success (it will be well with you; you will multiply greatly; the land will be fruitful). This was a promise to Israel, and turned out to be very true. When they were obedient, the had success, and when they sought other gods, they had trouble. But this promise is not for all of God's children. See Hebrews 11:32-38.
