Eph 2:19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
Just as all Jews boasted of Abraham as their father, making them a large global family, now it is Jesus Christ (vs 14) that unifies Christians into one global family. In fact, all Christians, both those alive today and those who have passed on, are part of the family.
