God showed again and agan how He thought it was important to relay these things to the children. Compare this to how Moses' mother taught him. She had about 10 years with him, and trained him so well that he never lost it during the next 30 years in Pharaoh's family (with his pagan gods), nor in the next 40 years in Midian (with their pagan gods). For 70 years he held to what he was taught as a youngster. What a catechism he had! We need to teach our children in the same way.
God desires godly offspring (Mal 2:13-17).
