Genesis 37:8

And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

Genesis 37:8 - Additional Comments

They mocked the unbelievable dream, even though it was God revealing their fate. This is similar to when Sarah laughed when God revealed she would bear a child in her old age (Gen 18:12-13).
Note that as much as they despised the fact that Joseph would rule over them, much in the same way some may despise that Jesus will rule over all, and all will eventually bow down to Him (Phil 2:10).
They detested what Joseph said, even though it was the truth. No matter how much some may not want certain things to be true, that cannot change the facts.
I expect Joseph also wondered, even doubted, that these dreams would come to pass.
