Genesis 41:8 - Additional Comments

Joseph was surrounded in Egypt by a culture that possessed advanced knowledge, superior in many ways to the nations surrounding them. Yet none of Pharaoh's wise men could interpret the message from God - we see this also in Dan 2:27, 4:7, 5:8. It was good that none besides Joseph could interpret the dreams. It made it more obvious that the interpretation was from God, not just common wisdom from skilled magicians. In fact if they had seen the interpretation they very likely would have viewed it as foolishness - 1 Cor 2:13-14.
God is constantly working so we can see Him - do we notice?
