Genesis 42:4

But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him.

Genesis 42:4 - Additional Comments

Joseph used to be Jacob's favorite, and the brother's hated Joseph for it (37:4). But it now appears Benjamin became Jacob's favorite. I expect the brothers saw how Jacob was affected by the death of Joseph over the years, and because of that did not feel animosity towards Benjamin.
