Genesis 44:15

And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? wot ye not that such a man as I can certainly divine?

All evidence points to the fact that Joseph was very godly, and in reality he probably did not practice divination. But, in his position, he was probably given the cup for divination, since they assumed everyone in his power would need one for that purpose.
