Isaiah 7:11 - Additional Comments

God probably senses doubt in Ahaz that He will do what He promises, so God tells Ahaz He will confirm it with a miracle, and let's Ahaz choose the miracle, the sign.
So, again, why does Ahaz tell God he does not need a sign (and therefore seem so noble)? Let me ask - what if you actually believed in God, but did not want to obey, to align your life as He wished? What would you do? Wouldn't you push away any sign of God, any realization of His presence? It is so much easier to ignore God when you don't see Him active in your life or around you.
Have you, maybe unknowingly, kept God at a distance, so you would not have to deal with what He wants from you? God has revealed His truth to you - listen to Him.
