Partiality is sin (verse 9), stemming from evil thoughts. Judging others in this way is corrupt, from our evil nature, motives from which may be hidden even to ourselves. Judging others is ostensibly to be fair, but in this way it is actually unjust. It is contrary to God's righteous nature - it is evil.
