James 3:3 - New American Standard Bible

Now if we put the bits into the horses' mouths so that they will obey us, we direct their entire body as well.

James 3:3 - Nueva Biblia Latinoamericana de Hoy

Ahora bien, si ponemos el freno en la boca de los caballos para que nos obedezcan, dirigimos también todo su cuerpo.

James 3:3 - World English Bible

James 3:3 - Young's Living Translation

lo, the bits we put into the mouths of the horses for their obeying us, and their whole body we turn about;

James 3:3 - Additional Comments

A bridle bit is not impressive in size compared to the size of a horse, but it can hold a high-spirited horse in check and keep him from running away (he obeys it)
