Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

(verses 17-18) Elijah taught us that we can pray for rain or sunshine, for godly purposes. God is interested in affecting the weather for us to His glory.
It is okay to pray for anything, even if it also affects others, like the weather.
