Jeremiah 16:10

And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?

They took up with the no-gods, worshiped and doted on them, and ignored me and wouldn’t do a thing I told them. And you’re even worse! Take a good look in the mirror—each of you doing whatever you want, whenever you want, refusing to pay attention to me. And for this I’m getting rid of you, throwing you out in the cold, into a far and strange country. You can worship your precious no-gods there to your heart’s content. Rest assured, I won’t bother you anymore.’

Jeremiah 16:10 - Additional Comments

They have been told their sins over and over, so it is unlikely that they really didn't know what God was upset about. It's more likely their thoughts were more like "What's the big deal?" or "Hey, what we did wasn't so bad!" But that is not all how God viewed it (vss 11-12).
How easily we may dismiss some sins and harmless or no big deal, when they are to God.
How easily we may dismiss offenses against others as no big deal, when it was to them. We may even mock them in their strong reaction to something we felt was harmless. May we be more sensitive to others and how our actions affect them.
True humility is not just avoiding arrogance, but true humility is taking the focus off self and putting it on others, for their benefit.
