Jeremiah 25:4

And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.

God had called a number of prophets during this time, but we see Jeremiah as one of only a few that followed God and not their own desires. Urijah was another that spoke the true words from God (Jer 26:20-23), but was killed by the king.
